romero awardNamed after casino marketing pioneer and author John Romero, the Romero Awards honor those gaming operators who best fulfill the spirit of John’s more than 45-year crusade for effective, measurable and accountable casino marketing expenditures.

Each year, a panel of expert judges, chaired by John Romero himself, selects winners for their excellence in casino marketing, in a variety of important marketing categories.

 

Summary of Award Categories

Casino Categories

  • Small- to mid-size casinos and gaming facilities (less than 1,000 total gaming positions)
  • Larger casinos (1,000 or more total gaming positions)

Marketing Categories

  • Direct Mail Marketing (Single or Campaign)
  • PR Campaign
  • Casino Floor Promotion
  • VIP Promotion (for top-rated players)
  • E-mail Marketing
  • Web Site Marketing

Entry Limitations

Casino organizations may submit up to three (3) Romero nominations in any single casino marketing category.
